Jerrys Main Axe
On the left is a 1964 ALL ORIGINAL Fender Jaguar. This guitar is on loan from my Uncle Ron who bought it NEW in 1964 and it still plays fine. On the right is my main guitar, a 1999 Fender Toronado (Mexico) This is a very cool looking versatile guitar that sounds great (Humbucker) and best of all plays like a strat. J.B.G. |
This is My Favorite Guitar
On the left is a 1972 Gibson L-6 s. This is the best feeling guitar I've ever played and has INFINITE sustain. I seldom take it out of the studio. I got this guitar in 1987 at a pawn shop for two hundred dollars !! I don't know what kind of pickups/wiring are on this guitar but whoever did it really knew how to set up a hot sounding guitar. On the right is a 1982 Les Paul Custom, a gift from my wife in 1988. It got caught in a rainstorm at an out door gig and I had to strip off all the hardware. No damage though. It plays O.K. but the neck is a little skinny for my taste. Awesome heavy Metal sound. J.B.G.

Dust Collectors
These guitars I NEVER play anymore. On the left is a 1986 Fender Stratocaster. (Japan) I bought it new with my buddy Johnny, he picked the color. This guitar is wore out from 12 years of abuse in the TOKEN band. It has seen some tough times and good times. I don't care what anybody says about Japanese Fenders, I like this guitar better than the 4 American standard Strats that I have played. On the right is a 1997 Gibson SG special. The only thing special about it is the neck, It plays pretty well but I REALLY need to change those stock pickups. Any suggestions as to what to switch to? J.B.G. |
2 More
On the left is my K-Mart guitar. A 1998 Danolectro U-2 (re-issue) What a cool guitar ! I use this one alot in the Tune-o-Matics. Its only drawback is its hard to get good heavy tones (Distortion) so I usually only play it for the 50's and 60's sets. On the right is a 1994 Taylor Dreadknought. (Another gift from Tammy, my wife, thanks dear.) In my opinion, the Caddillac of acoustic guitars. I installed a seymour duncan tube style pickup (With vol.) It pops in and out easily and sounds great. I mostly play it in church and in the studio. J.B.G.

Jerrys Keys
The Alesis QS 7 is a great all around keyboard. While it doesn't do one thing thats overly impressive, it does ALL things well. I used to have 2 keyboards and 2 rack mounted sound engines. The sound was great, but what a hassle. The editing could be better, but its really easy to use. One drawback is no seamless patch changes. Overall, I have been really happy with this unit. (Thanks again Tammy) |
